The beauty of game dev is that you’re constantly learning. I’ve made mistakes in the past, but I was able to self-reflect and work on those faults. In my opinion, this is the only way you’ll ever grow as a person. Learning to accept criticism rather than take it as a personal attack. I’ve pretty much had an ego-death of sorts, and now I see things a lot more positively and always try to take advice.
Enough of the boring drivel. The team has grown, and a bunch of very passionate people have joined and also returned to the project. Almost everything from before, except the concept and weapon art, was scrapped. Even the old prototype.
I admit, I didn’t stick up to the promise of posting blogs regularly. I’m just not good at writing. But I really do enjoy videos, they’re bite-sized and easier to follow.
So going forward, you will see video logs being posted on: https://www.youtube.com/grassrootzstudio
I really want to remain transparent in this continuing journey of game development. So this is why I’ve created this subreddit and relinquished control. I will try my best to answer any questions you have. I am not one to run away from adversity or difficulty. Don’t be shy, go ahead and ask anything you want: https://www.reddit.com/r/grassrootzstudio/
